Carmichael UK is recruiting a Quality Manager to join a major HS2 project in the Buckinghamshire area. 

The Role:

As a Quality Manager, you will provide leadership to the Quality Assurance Engineers and Administrators, supporting the Project Quality Assurance Manager (PjQAM) and deputising when required. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing quality requirements across the section, working closely with Construction Delivery Teams.
  • Supporting the handover & completions team by ensuring all quality assurance activities are documented effectively.
  • Developing relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders to maintain quality and assurance standards.
  • Managing quality documentation and records using relevant IT systems.
  • Collaborating with delivery teams to plan inspection and test plans (ITPs), Work Package Plans, and ensuring product realisation.
  • Supporting teams in raising and resolving non-conformance reports (NCRs) and leading root cause analyses.
  • Delivering training and awareness sessions on quality processes and best practices.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Management System (BMS).
  • Conducting internal audits and quality surveillance activities.
  • Collating and analysing KPI data for monthly client reporting.

About You:

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with the following:

  • Experience leading Quality Teams in a construction environment
  • Recognised Quality qualification and CQI membership
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification (preferred)
  • CSCS White (or above) card
  • Strong organisation, management, and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for site access)
