We are looking for experienced Quantity Surveyors to join a major MOD infrastructure project in Plymouth.
This is a long-term, site-based contract opportunity suited to QSs with a strong background working for Tier 1 contractors or joint ventures on major civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
The role will involve:
- Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management.
- Measurement and valuation of works.
- Subcontractor procurement and commercial management.
- Certification and payment of subcontract accounts.
- Cash-flow management.
- NEC contract administration.
- Change control and client communications.
- Commercial and contractual risk management.
- Working closely with the client, project management and delivery teams.
We're looking for:
- Significant Quantity Surveying experience within major civil engineering/infrastructure.
- Tier 1 contractor, JV or comparable major-project experience.
- HNC, BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
- Strong NEC contract experience.
- CEMAR experience.
- COINS/Causeway experience.
- CSCS White PQP/AQP.
- Full UK driving licence.
- RICS/ICE accreditation advantageous.
- Previous MOD/defence experience advantageous.
Due to the nature of the project, BPSS security clearance is required, including checks relating to nationality, citizenship, place of birth and residency history.
The position is 100% site based in Plymouth, with no hybrid working. A lodge allowance is available for candidates working away from home.
