Carmichael UK have collaborated with a tier 1 main contractor to provide staff to project which is delivering the upgrade of two Compression Stations in Cambridgeshire on behalf of National Grid.
The primary driver for the project is to reduce emissions associated with moving gas around the UK to support EU legislation; added benefits include increased system resilience and reduced overall risk on the National Transmission System by replacing aging assets with modern, efficient equipment.
They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage both projects, working as a part of a commercial team.
The main purpose of the role will be to manage sub contractor payments, administering contract, working closely with the client to ensure agreed timelines.
The candidate will have a quantity surveying degree and a previous experience within civil engineering sector.
