A long-term opportunity exists for a competent Quantity Surveyor on a rail project in Tyne & Wear.
Previous recent commercial experience within the rail sector which includes design, track, OLE, signalling, earthworks, drainage, concrete etc. using NEC 4 option C is sought after.
This post falls inside IR35. Rates advertised are an indication only.

Duties will include the following –
- Subcontractor evaluations and appointments
- Managing the budget and forecasting
- Measurements and final accounts
- Reconciling work done
- Cost reports and risk management
Requirements for this post include –
- Extensive experience as a stand-alone Quantity Surveyor for a principal contractor
- Proven experience within the NEC4 option C form of contract
- Commercially aware and astute
- Quantity Surveying qualification
- RICS registered would be advantageous
