This multidisciplinary contract management company seeks to employ a fulltime competent Quantity Surveyor in their engineering department to manage the commercial aspects of their projects both locally and abroad. Experience using the NEC4 on turnkey projects is sought after.
Duties will include –
- take offs and measurement in accordance with standard methods of measurement
- Preparation of contractual and general commercial correspondence
- Risk analysis and advising on contractual matters
- Raising compensation events, early warnings, variations
- Negotiating with clients and subcontractors
- Cost control, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and commercial reports
- Preparing final accounts and claims
- Procuring and managing subcontractors’ administration
- Attending progress meeting and reporting back
Requirements for this post include –
- Quantity Surveying degree or similar
- Preferable RICS or working towards it
- Commercially astute and accountable
- Proficient in the MS suite and NEC forms of contract
- Experience on multidisciplinary projects which include civils and M&E
