A well renowed Tier 1 Client of ours are currently seeking 2 Quantity Surveyors with Utilities Experience to work on a Project in Kent.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records for each activity to present to management and to support applications to the client.
- Assess & prepare Requisitions, Works Orders, Target Costs, Subcontract Liabilities, Actual Costs, Lump Sum Costs, Early Warning Notifications, Compensation Event, Forecast and Accruals
- Authorisation of subcontractor applications for payment and challenge where appropriate.
- Maintaining an assessment of commercial risks through the duration of the contract.
- Timely and accurate submission of applications for the service.
- Timely and accurate submission and presentation of reports for both internal and commissioning core.
- Resolve any contractual disputes with Supply Chain.
- Commercial reporting of service delivery activities.
- Agreement of subcontractor final accounts within limits agreed with the Project Manager (Business Improvement).
- Review & Agree new Supply Chain Partners’ rates.
- Conduct effective negotiations with both the Client and Subcontractors.
- Effective communication with all Network Strategy teams and associated delivery teams.
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of subcontract management.
- Understanding of local authority budgets and experience of budgetary governance, management and control measures.
- Experience in conducting effective negotiations with both the Client and Subcontractors.
- Detailed understanding of the principles of measurement within Utlilties and Telecomms background.
