Here exists an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team of a tier one contractor.
This role will be predominantly office based.
Duties include -
- Review weekly, monthly, section programmes of works
- Plan commercial activities to meet requirements of section programmes
- Have an understanding of delay and disruption programmes
- Undertakes customer and stakeholder management for their area of responsibility
- Collation of cost and value information
- Measurement of works and agreements with subcontractors
- Measure & interpret specifications & drawings
- Build up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimates
- Translate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates
- Maintain a Personal Development Plan
Requirements for this position -
- Quantity Surveying qualification (or experience equivalent)
- Professional membership from the RICS, ICES or CIOB is beneficial
- Prior experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction projects
- You must have working knowledge of NEC contracts including options A, B and C
- Aviation/airport experience would be beneficial but is not necessary
- Working experience of self-delivery works
- You must have an understanding of cost and time
- You must be enthusiastic in your approach and have clear communication skills to be able to liaise with a wide range of people and teams
