An opportunity exists for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a portion of the HS2 project between Banbury and Southam. You'll report to the Commercial Manager for the section and will be responsible for tender pricing; risk assessments and contract drafting / negotiations.
In this fast-paced role you can expect to work both within a supporting nature as well as independently leading on your own projects.
Your duties will include –
- Cost and Value reconciliations,
- Cost reporting and cash management.
- Build strong working relationships with the client and key colleagues.
- Contract administration which includes data reporting and record keeping.
- Subcontract account management, payment and dispute management
- Contribute to project performance discussions, providing commercial input to project strategy.
Requirements for this opportunity include –
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts including options A, B and C
- Tier one contractor experience on civil engineering projects
- An understanding of cost, sequencing and time
- Hold a valid UK driver license
