Freelance opportunities exists for Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors who have had experience working for tier-one/principal contractors on civil engineering contracts using NEC 3 contracts.
Your experience working as part of a team in a collaborative nature is sought after.
Duties will include -
- Manage all commercial aspects of a scheme
- Produce and evaluate monthly claims
- Evaluate and assist in the production of monthly cost report
- Identify and highlight any risks
- Evaluate, appoint and manage the subcontractors
- Plant and material cost control
- Re-measures, variation orders and extension of time claims
- Daily commercial management including monitoring of P/L
- Monthly invoices and certification
- Final accounts
The requirements are as follows -
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Extensive NEC experience on target cost projects within the Civil Engineering sector
- Commercially astute, committed and accountable
- RICS or ICES advantageous
- Proven ability to work successfully within a team environment and /or collaboratively with the client
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
