An immediate start opportunity exists for a Civils Quantity Surveyor on a highways project for 6 months. Your knowledge of NEC and subcontractor management on large projects whilst working for a tier one Contractor, is sought after.
Duties include:
- Daily look ahead and early warnings
- Management of all commercials and contract documentation
- Cost control
- Procurement
- Interaction and linking with client and site staff.
- Plant and material cost control
- Evaluation and appointing of subcontractors.
- Re-measures, variation orders and extension of time claims
- Daily commercial management
Requirements include:
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Experience on civil engineering projects (highways, rail, etc)
- Experience on NEC contracts
- Commercially astute with excellent time management
- Committed and accountable
