CarmichaelUK are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading joint venture working on the HS2 project in Buckinghamshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK, supporting the commercial delivery of major civils, earthworks, and structural packages under the NEC contract form.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performing commercial team, ensuring value, compliance, and effective cost control across key construction phases.
Key Responsibilities

Manage commercial aspects of subcontract and main contract packages under NEC3/NEC4

Prepare and review applications for payment, variations, and compensation events

Support monthly cost reporting and forecasting

Liaise with site and project teams to manage change control and commercial risk

Ensure compliance with contract procedures and project governance requirements

Build strong relationships with client and subcontractor representatives

Support procurement and contract administration processes
About You
-
Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects

Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (ECC Option A/C/E preferred)

Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills

Strong communication and organisational abilities

Confident using cost management systems and Microsoft Excel

CSCS card and relevant H&S qualifications (preferred)
