CarmichaelUK are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Quantity Surveyors with NEC contract experience for work on a major Crossrail Station Tunnelling package in Central London.
Ideal candidates will have significant experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on major tunnelling projects in the UK. Previous experience working in the rail environment and a strong understanding of commercial requirements, estimating and compensation claims will be highly advantageous.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting to the Project / Commercial Manager
Provide input to the cost reporting system and manage financial status of projects
- Identify, value and manage change and maintain change register
- Coordination with supply chain and business units to produce accurate cost reporting
- Produce accurate forecasting and commercial reporting to internal teams and client
- Understanding of project risk, basic plant, equipment and labour costs to manage financial status of projects
- Working knowledge of standard forms of contract - Measured Term, Traditional Lump Sum and Design & Construct
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering (or minimum HNC equivalent qualification)
- Experience working on major tunnelling works packages
- Professional CIOB Membership - Desired
- Experience working on standard forms of contract
- Excellent written and verbal communication
