An opportunity exists for an experienced and driven Scheme Project Manager to join the Delivery team on an iconic rail project in West Yorkshire. In this role, you will be expected to deliver the project safely and effectively, meeting time, cost, quality, and performance targets. You will work within the full lifecycle of projects in accordance with Network Rail’s governance frameworks and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver projects in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in line with CDM regulations, Network Rail standards, and legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure successful delivery across a wide portfolio of multidisciplinary Works.
- Lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams including engineering (civil & rail systems), commercial, programme controls, and nominated contractors.
- Provide consistent project management, including planning, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Identify and manage tactical changes, project risks, and resource planning across work banks.
- Support the production and maintenance of project management plans and documentation.
- Deliver regular progress reports and promote lessons learned across projects.
- Engage with stakeholders effectively, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Champion a culture of safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in a relevant discipline engineering discipline.
- Membership of the Association for Project Management or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in project management within the rail or infrastructure sector.
- Proven knowledge of CDM regulations, health & safety legislation, and project safety management.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, including experience managing project budgets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with Network Rail processes, including GRIP and project lifecycle methodologies.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles and contract management practices.
- Understanding of environmental and quality assurance procedures within infrastructure projects.
