Civils Section Engineer
Heathrow Airport
(Inside IR35 - Umbrella PAYE)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major civil engineering project at Heathrow Airport.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme involving a variety of civils packages including earthworks, drainage, utilities, highways, reinforced concrete, and groundworks, within one of the UK's most challenging operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing engineering activities across allocated work sections.
- Supporting the Sub Agent and Project Team with safe and efficient project delivery.
- Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs, task briefs, and permits.
- Managing site engineers, subcontractors, and direct labour.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design specifications and programme requirements.
- Overseeing quality assurance, inspections, and as-built records.
- Coordinating setting out activities and technical queries.
- Monitoring progress and reporting on programme performance.
- Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Section Engineer or Senior Site Engineer on major civils or infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Earthworks
- Drainage
- Utilities
- Highways
- Reinforced Concrete Structures
- Groundworks
- Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, permits, and temporary works.
- Proficient with setting out and surveying equipment.
- CSCS Card required.
- SMSTS desirable.
- Heathrow, airport, rail, highways, HS2, or major infrastructure experience advantageous.
- Ability to obtain full airside security clearance.
