CarmichaelUK are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer on a major rail infrastructure works contract based in South London; We are keen to hear from you if you have major project experience working on civils, rail, platform extensions, and especially Piling.
This project is expected to last another 6 -12 months and you will benefit from market competitive rates whilst working for one of the industry’s leading contractors.
As a Section Engineer for this scope of works, your duties will include:
- Assist the Sub Agent for all section of works
- Sub-contractor management
- Amending and writing method statements and risk assessments
- Help managing the self-delivery labour force
- Carrying out quality inspections
- Produce ITPs and as-builts
- Planning weekly and monthly programmes
If you would like to apply for the Section Engineer position, you will also need to demonstrate the following:
- Have previously worked within a rail environment and civils sectors
- Previously worked as an experienced site engineer (preferably with a main contractor)
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance, writing method statements and risk assessments
- Hold a construction-related degree or HNC
- Hold a valid CSCS Card
- PTS (ideally)
