An excellent opportunity exists with a civil engineering contractor for experienced Section/Senior Engineer on a major highways project. Your experience in the construction of highways structures including bridges, retaining walls, gantry bases etc., is sought after.
This opportunity can be outside IR35 if your assessment falls outside IR35.
Your duties will include the following –
- Overseeing the setting out duties and as-builts
- Managing and quantifying materials
- Assisting the Agent in the delivery of the project
- Attending progress meetings and providing technical input
- Tend to all technical and design requirements
- Ensure the works are completed in accordance with the specifications
- Ensure H&S as well as QA
The requirements for this post are as follows –
- Preferably a civil engineering qualification
- Previous similar highways/major roads construction experience in the employ of a principal contractor specialising on the structures (bridges, retaining walls, gantry bases)
- CSCS and First Aid
