An excellent opportunity exists with a civil engineering contractor for experienced Section/Senior Engineer on a major highways project. Your experience in the construction of highways structures including bridges, retaining walls, gantry bases etc. is sought after.
Your duties will include the following –
- Overseeing the setting out duties and as-builts
- Managing and quantifying materials
- Assisting the Agent in the delivery of the project
- Attending progress meetings and providing technical input
- Tend to all technical and design requirements
- Ensure the works are completed in accordance with the specifications
- Ensure H&S as well as QA
The requirements for this post are as follows –
- Preferably a civil engineering qualification
- Previous similar highways/major roads construction experience in the employ of a principal contractor specialising on the structures (bridges, retaining walls, gantry bases)
- Excellent subcontractor management skills
- CSCS and First Aid
