Carmichael are seeking a Section Engineer with highways experience to join a project in West London.
Key Responsibilities:
• Able to maintain high personal standards in health and safety and environmental awareness (CSCS, SSSTS)
• Understands the process of Organising/procuring plant and materials for drainage works
• Sound knowledge in temporary works for drainage installation
• Able to manage and coach Site Engineers
• Experience in a similar role or successful experience at Site Engineer level. Preferably with highways experience.
• Experience knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design
• Prepare monitoring and reporting progress against "look ahead" programmes. Able to produce short term programme.
• Experienced in setting out
• Completing quality assurance documentation and providing feedback to the team.
• Good communication skills.
• Sound knowledge in producing method statements, risk assessment, inspection and test plans etc.
• Gathering data, compiling comprehensive reports (site diaries, as-built, resources etc)
• Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
• Ability to carry out general construction site testing
We are looking for someone who:
- Has worked on a major highway upgrade recently as a site engineer or engineering surveyor
Has an HNC or higher in Civil Engineering or related subject
- Holds a valid CSCS card
- Has a full, clean driving license
- Has experience of working next to a live highway
- Has experience setting out for earthworks, structures, drainage, ducting and kerbs
