Section Engineer - HS2 Near Banbury
Carmichael UK are excited to be working with an earthworks contractor on a permanent basis, on behalf of our client. This role is based on the HS2 line near Banbury, and offers an impressive package of £40,000.
Do you have what it takes to join this innovative and ambitious earthworks team? We are looking for an experienced, motivated Section Engineer who can help to support and maintain the high standards needed for this project.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Leading a construction team to ensure all tasks are completed on time and to budget
- Identifying risks and taking appropriate action to prevent or mitigate them
- Checking workmanship and adherence to the safety standards
- Overseeing survey tasks and liaising with surveyors
- Preparing detailed reports of works undertaken
To be successful, you must demonstrate experience in Section Engineer role and have extensive knowledge and experience in earthworks. A positive attitude is also desired, as well as great organisation skills and the ability to lead a team.
You must also hold a full UK driving licence to be able to get to a remote location.
