Section Engineer – Airside Works | Heathrow | Carmichael UK
Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a Tier 1 on major airside infrastructure projects at Heathrow Airport. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a portfolio of projects involving roads, signage, and taxiway upgrades, supporting the delivery of high-profile, safety-critical works.
Projects You’ll Support are all Airside. Asphalt & Concrete, Roads Rolling Lifecycle, Airfield Signs Upgrades, managing surveys, trials, main works and Taxiway Crossings Upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quality, cost, and programme compliance.
- Monitor site progress and report effectively to project management.
- Support delivery of multiple projects airside, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Provide input on planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Section Engineer on civil/airside projects (Heathrow experience preferred).
- Strong skills in site management, supplier coordination, quality control, and reporting.
- Comfortable working day and night shifts, depending on project requirements.
- Airside pass eligibility (requires 5 years’ references).
- Surveying/setting-out experience not essential.
