An excellent opportunity exists for experienced and competent Section Engineer with extensive continuous major roads and/or highways experience to manage aspects of the night shift operations. Help transform the motorways landscape by being part of this long-term project.
Duties of Section/Senior Engineer will include:
- Managing and tasking the nights shift teams including subcontractors.
- Planning of the works in accordance to the day shift requirements
- Coordinating activities with the day shift team
- Detail recording of work performed at night
- Managing traffic and the traffic management subcontractors
- Ensuring the works are constructed according to the design and specifications
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance
- Quality control in accordance with the specifications
- Compiling of Method Statements
- Produce accurate daily records
- Permit clearances, RFIs, TQs etc
Requirements for Section Engineer:
- HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Previous Section Engineering experience on a large Civil engineering project whilst employed by a tier one contractor managing numerous subcontractors
- Solid continuous and recent experience on highways or major roads
- The willingness to work nights
- Knowledge of the Traffic Management act
- CSCS, SMSTS, NRASWA and First Aid
