A specialist Civil Engineering and Infrastructure contractor are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This position will be focusing on the fit-out of Luton station which will involve new retail and dining areas.
As Section Engineer:
- To control a section of the works, according to a specific discipline. Management of a team of Site Engineers within same discipline.
- Produce Method Statements and Risk Assessments and undertakes periodic reviews;
- Prepare and raise Temporary Works Briefs, following up to ensure timely implementation;
- Carry out Visitors Induction;
- Complete Accident Book and associated reports as required. Able to undertake incident investigations to required standard;
- Undertake and mentors less experienced staff in safety audits.
- Carry out complex setting out;
- Provision of ‘primary’ setting out control and recognizes the optimum location for installation;
- Coach junior engineers in the use of setting out techniques
- Produce Activity Control Plans / Inspection and Test Plans and obtains approval;
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of station fit-out
- Hold a valid CSCS card. SSSTS or SMSTS qualified
- BSc or BEng level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC/HND or the equivalent.
