Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Section Engineer with a proven background in structures to join a major HS2 scheme in Buckinghamshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a flagship infrastructure project, delivering complex reinforced concrete and structural works as part of one of the most significant construction programmes in Europe.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of structural and reinforced concrete works.
- Managing and maintaining site control.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
- Producing and reviewing ITPs, quality records and as-built documentation.
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating daily site activities.
- Raising and resolving technical queries and NCRs.
- Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Site Agent or Sub Agent.
- Promoting the highest standards of health, safety and quality on site.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Section Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong structures experience, ideally involving reinforced concrete, bridges, retaining walls, culverts or similar assets.
- Experience working for Tier 1 contractors.
- Excellent setting out and surveying skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- CSCS Card.
- HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial.
