Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer with a strong background in structures to join one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, HS2, in Northamptonshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a major civils programme, delivering complex structural works as part of a high-profile project with long-term prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of structural packages including bridges, retaining structures, culverts and reinforced concrete works
- Setting out, quality assurance and as-built documentation
- Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and task briefings
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and in line with project specifications
- Liaising with design, temporary works and construction teams
- Providing engineering support to site teams and mentoring junior engineers
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Section Engineer on major civil engineering projects
- Strong structures background with reinforced concrete and structural works experience
- Experience working for Tier 1 contractors or major infrastructure schemes
- Competent with setting out equipment and engineering software
- Good understanding of quality processes, permits and site documentation
- CSCS card essential
- SSSTS or SMSTS beneficial
