An excellent opportunity exists with a tier one multi-disciplined national civil engineering contractor for experienced Section/Project Engineers that reside in the Stafford region. If you have experience on the construction of major roads and highway projects managing and tasking delivery subcontractors, Graduate/Junior Engineers as well as Site Engineers then this post is for you. Your experience on Smart Motorways is advantageous
Your duties as the Section Engineer will include the following –
- Overseeing the setting out duties and as-builts
- Managing and quantifying materials
- Tasking Junior/Graduate Engineer
- Assisting the Sub Agent and Agent in the delivery of the project
- Attending progress meetings and providing technical input
- Tend to all design requirements
- Ensure the works are completed in accordance to the design
- Ensure H&S as well as QA
The requirements for this post are as follows –
- Preferably a civil engineering qualification
- Previous similar highways/major roads construction experience in the employ of a principal contractor
- Sound and proven management skills
- CSCS and First Aid
