Our client a major JV delivering the £965m Chilterns Tunnels and Colne Valley Viaduct main works civils contract by HS2.
This is a key section of Phase One of the HS2 high-speed rail network between London and Birmingham.
They require a Section Manager to join their team. The role will be based out near Uxbridge & Maple Cross. This is a PERMANENT role.
As the Section Manager you will be responsible for the management of all Diaphragm Wall construction activities including:
• Leading a team of Engineers, Surveyors and Sub-Contractors within the Shafts D wall construction team.
• Promoting and demonstrating Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities to Project policies and management plans
• Developing and mentoring staff and subcontractors
• Ensuring successful project completion to budget allocations and program milestones.
• Demonstrating strong leadership to ensure safe and collaborative work sites
• Encouraging and influencing innovative delivery solutions
Skills & Experience:
Essentially you will possess a degree/ master’s qualification in Engineering or similar and experience which demonstrates applied knowledge of Shaft sinking or Diaphragm wall construction. Mandatory You must also be able to demonstrate:
• Experience in leading a team.
• Subcontract management experience
• Computer skills across the whole Microsoft Office suite;
• A full understanding of technical requirements and techniques of setting out and coaching of team members
• Strong communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills
• Awareness of procurement practice
• CSCS Card holder.
