As the Section Planner, you will be supporting the Project team to lead the contractual programme reporting and construction programme planning and scheduling of a major highway upgrade project in Southampton Region.
The Role
  • Supporting the Project Manager in producing, overseeing and monitoring adherence to overall project for Construction Programme attainment.
  • Produce, manage and update the construction programme and its communication to internal and external customers and major stakeholders
  • Incorporation of change events into the delivery programme and assistance to the commercial team to secure full entitlement under the contract
  • Provide detailed support and assistance to the operation staff in order to enable the team to monitor pinch-points on the critical path and test and change logic where previously agreed to either improve upon the baseline delivery programme or to mitigate potential delays
  • Produce reports and delivery commentary to operation on particular reporting requirements
  • Produce programs, reports and / or extract filters as required by the project team, including indication of deviation from the baseline programme
  • In conjunction with the commercial team, assist with the production of earned value analysis data in compliance with the customer and client requirements
  • Formally issue delivery programme updates to all parties as required by the contract
  • Attend operation meetings with internal and or external customers and deliver presentation on project progress
  • Develop and produce delivery programme / duration with tender sum and methodology without assistance
  • Manage the planning and delivery programme process by closely monitoring and controlling the development and implementation of the programme and checking completeness of supply chain packages information
  • Ensure planning and programming is produced on time by understanding challenging deadlines, understanding the interface and reliance between elements/disciplines, and developing and monitoring integrated procurement,  and delivery programmes
  • Follow the programme management plan, and fully understand supply chain scope
Experience/Skillset
 
  • A degree/diploma in Construction
  • Structures, Highways and/or Heavy Civils experience
  • Numerically proficient e.g. take offs, resource levels etc.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to adhere to strict deadlines on a daily & weekly basis
  • ASTA experience
  • NEC / EWN type of contract awareness and compliance
