Our client a Tier 1 company is now looking for a Senior / Principal Smart Motorways Technology (ITS) Engineer on a big Civils project in Leicestershire.
Your duties would be:
- Support the Technology Design Lead and work within an existing team to deliver the M1 J13-16 SMP scheme
- Production of designs, drawings, schedules, and reports as required
- Response to TQs
- Updating existing designs in response to Value Engineer opportunities
- Input to allow others to update 3D models, and perform clash detection and redesign as required
- Checking and approving 1500 Series drawings, specifications and documentation
- Production, and checking, of power calcs
Required Skills/ knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of technology used on smart motorway projects
- Excellent knowledge of civils infrastructure for technology assets
- Excellent knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, MCX and other associated standards
- Experience of working in on-site design teams
- Experience of working with Highways England
- Experience of using AmTech ProdDesign software
- Experience of working with BIM and 3D models
