Are you an experienced site leader ready to take on a high-impact role within a major infrastructure programme? We’re looking for a Senior Agent to oversee key delivery operations, lead teams on site, and manage high-value construction works across a vital project in Hampshire.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As Senior Agent, you will:

  • Lead and manage key Alliance partners and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with client goals and project objectives.

  • Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

  • Manage and mentor site teams and direct reports, conducting performance reviews and supporting professional development.

  • Ensure engineering, measurements, and subcontract works align with contractual obligations and technical specifications.

  • Review, drive, and monitor the resourced Construction Programme, keeping the team aware of critical path items and programme updates.

  • Promote value engineering and continuous improvement—sharing best practices within the project, across the company, and with the broader industry.

  • Organise and attend coordination, progress, and resource meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring full compliance with standards and project-specific QA plans.

  • Manage cost control activities, comparing actuals against budgets and forecasts.

  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, regularly updating the project risk register and ensuring mitigation plans are in place.

  • Play a key role in change control, including evaluation, communication, and implementation.


What You’ll Need to Succeed

Essential:

  • Significant experience in civil engineering and major infrastructure projects

  • Proven track record in site and team management at Agent or Senior Agent level

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, health & safety legislation, and site management practices

  • Able to manage stakeholders, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and influence positive project outcomes

  • Proficient in reviewing and managing construction programmes and commercial performance

  • Working towards or achieved Chartered Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE, CIOB)

Desirable:

  • Experience on major projects valued at £30M+

  • Temporary Works Coordination, confined space, lifting operations, scaffold management, or traffic management knowledge

  • Understanding of corrosion protection systems and design management processes
