A large internationally recognised civil engineering & geotechnical contractor are searching for a Senior Buyer to join their team.
Joining this business will see you working on some of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK.
You will be joining a busy procurement team reporting into the Commercial Manager for a major project which is taking place in the Buckinghamshire area.
This project is a key piece to the UK's infrastructure and requires an astute Buyer who is able to multi-task to assist in keeping operations running smoothly.
You will be tasked with maintaining a close understanding of the material, plant hire and products markets.
Some more of your duties:
- To be able to adapt quickly to programme requirements
- Raising and managing orders
- To keep hired plant location sheets updated regularly
- Chasing scheduled deliveries by maintaining close contact with suppliers
- Obtaining quotes and negotiating prices for goods
About you:
- HNC/D or Degree
- Previous buying experience within the construction industry
