Carmichael UK are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join a major tier 1 Civils Construction Company at Gatwick Airport to manage multiple packages of work long term.
As senior commercial manager you will be reporting to the Group Director of transport, and manage a commercial team to deliver multiple small construction packages under NEC contracts.
About the Role:
- Bringing in new business from existing and new clients
- Reviewing and developing operational processes to improve performance and maximise growth
- Managing daily operations
- Working together with relevant departments to develop accurate and consistent bids
- Establishing sales targets and ensuring that a company meets these
- Managing risk assessments for new initiatives
- Overseeing and developing cross-functional teams
- Staying aware of the latest trends and developments and representing a company at industry events
- Assisting with product planning
About you:
- Experience working at Senior Management level with proven history of managing a team
- Airport experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts including options A, B, and C
- Knowledge of NR forms of contract
- Experience of working on civil engineering projects
- Clear communication skills and proactive in tackling issues
Hybrid working options available but must be able to work at Gatwick Airport when required
