Carmichael are recruiting for an experienced Senior ECI Engineer, for our tier one client, to work on a large scale Nuclear project.
Responsibilities will include -
- Delivery of EC&I design and engineering for area systems. Will be responsible for production of design documentation as well as checking the work of other engineers & designers.
- Responsible for coordinating with construction to respond to TQ’s/PP’s and concessions.
- Responsible for coordinating with construction and commissioning to respond to FOB’s and defect notices.
- Representative for design on plant walk-downs, snagging, and general inspections
Requirements for this position -
- Minimum HND qualfied, ideally Degree qualified
- Demonstrable experience in delivering nuclear EC&I design in a similar role/environment, with recent relevant exposure to work in the nuclear industry
- Experience of taking a lead role in delivering engineering packages
- Familiar with EC&I deliverables
- Delivery of approved written work, i.e. technical specifications and reports
- Familiar with a pragmatic approach to the application of applicable standards and practices
- Experience in interrogating design in the context of assuring its fitness for purpose with respect to design process, rigour and functionality.
- Experience of working with a client organisation to ensure a collaborative approach to design assurance.
- Ability to chair and control meetings.
- MUST be able to obtain BPSS clearance as a minimum
