My client, a leading rail contractor is currently looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to work in Peterborough for at least 12 months. The right candidate will have worked for tier 1 contractors on large multi-million pound heavy civils projects.
As the Senior Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Managing the sub contracts and H&S of various packages of work
- General site paperwork; method statements, risk assessments, permits, WPPs & Task Briefings
- Manage and mentor both direct and contract project staff
- Liaise with the Construction Manager, designers and the clients regarding technical issues
- Assist the Handover Manager with necessary documents
The Requirements we are looking for:
- Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering
- Relevant PTS Card
- Broad knowledge of Tunneling, Heavy Civils, Earthworks and Drainage
- Must have proven experience working as a Section Engineer, Civil Engineer, Senior Site Engineer
- Strong leadership skills to take control of Sub Contractors
- Clear Communication skills
