Our client a tier one contractor is delivering a £160m contract to deliver new infrastructure on an RAF base in Suffolk.
They require a senior Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Programme involves construction and renovation of a number of buildings and infrastructure projects on the Suffolk site, including a six-bay flight simulator, an aircraft maintenance unit, new hangars, and 42 aircraft parking aprons.
Responsibilities:
- Get involved in the planning and monitoring of your section of works
- Provide for accurate setting out and control
- Managing the Construction Phase Plan
- Managing the Site Engineers
- Build Relationships with your team and client
- Be aware of responsibilities from the HSEQ policies
- Implement Inspection test plans and monitor Maintain accurate wastage reports and keep the Agent, Sub Agent and Quantity Surveyor informed of your findings
- Carry out spot checks personally to ensure that the systems are on track and give praise/warnings to team members where necessary
- Encourage any interest in engineering by taking time out to explain in more detail
- Communicate regularly about work on your section with all members of your team especially the foreman
- Ensure employees, have received adequate training and information about the activity they are required to undertake
Required Qualifications / Expertise:
- MEng/BEng/Foundation Degree/BTEC/ Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of varied site experience in Rail / Civil Engineering.
