A long-term freelance opportunity exists for a Senior Highways Engineer in Tyne and Wear. Senior highways Site Engineers with recent Tier one experience on highways projects are sought after.
Reporting to the Site Agent you will be responsible to ensure the works under your controls are delivered safely in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Duties will include –
- Ensure that all setting out is completed timeously.
- Ensure all RAMS and ITPs are in place and adhered to.
- Ensure the correct plant, labour and materials is available.
- Review design/drawing highlighting any problems.
- Keep accurate diary including any variations, site specialist etc.
Requirements for this post include –
- Previous experience at a similar level on a highway’s projects for a tier one Contractor will be advantageous.
- A civil Engineering qualification or similar with a good understanding of civil engineering construction methods
- SMSTS, CSCS, Cat&Genny, AP heavy lift, TWC, First Aid
