A long term, inside IR35, opportunity exists for a Senior Engineer who has spent many years as a competent rail Site Engineer before progressing to a Senior Engineer on rail projects.
Duties include
- Overseeing the setting out and occasionally jumping on the tools
- Checking drawings and quantities, ensuring it has been procured timeously
- Plan and organise the site and the works effectively and safely
- Ensure all records, testing and administration is done
- Resolve, highlight or escalate any technical issues
- Assist the management team in their duties when called upon to do so
- Build a motivated and successful delivery team
Requirements for this post include –
- Proven and continuous rail experience preferable for a tier one or principal Contractor
- A civil engineering qualification or similar
- Excellent subcontractor and delivery management ability
- PTS, CSCS and First aid certification
- AutoCAD, TW, AP advantageous
