Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join leading Construction Company in the UK.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptual and detailed design of Mechanical Packages on Energy Transition Projects.
Responsibilities:
- Representing the team at internal and external meetings.
- Delivering mechanical design deliverables at differing engineering stages
- Reviewing Scopes of Works provided by Clients and developing cost resource estimates, execution plans and project programmes.
- Carrying out the review of all design documentation
- Ensuring the successful delivery of a quality Mechanical Design Packages
- Managing the successful delivery of all Formal Process Safety Assessments, including, HAZID, HAZOP, Safe Working Design Studies, Site Layout, SIL Determination.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering or working towards chartership.
- Experience in Oil & Gas sector and familiarisation with the IGEM Suite of standards for Gas Pipeline and Installations as well as other National and International Pipeline codes.
- Experience of interfacing with Clients such as National Gas Transmission and Cadent and knowledge of their Specifications and Standards including the G/17 and G/35 design assurance process
- Good technical report writing skills suitable for submission to stakeholders.
- Experience associated with the design of Natural Gas Above Ground Installations and Pipelines.
