An excellent, inside IR35, opportunity exist for a senior Piling Project Engineer to manage the QA and TW on an iconic infrastructure project in Newcastle. Extensive knowledge and experience on the sinking of large diameter rotary bored piles using bentonite or polymer is sought after.
Duties include –
- Develop methods and detailed plans for the construction activities in accordance with the specifications for large diameter rotary piles
- Ensure the quality control including the temporary works are implemented
- Ensure all ITPs and TW schedules are actioned and recorded
- Ensure QA, as built and H&S is adhered to and recorded
- Manage the construction process along with site supervisors whilst overseeing the contract administration
Requirements for this opportunity include
- A Civil Engineering/Geotechnical qualification or similar
- Sound piling experience as gained working for a piling contractor
- Related temporary works and heavy lifting accreditation advantageous
- Knowledgeable on piling design, materials and material testing
- Proven communication, project management and supervisory skills
- CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
