Senior Design Engineer – Linear Infrastructure Projects
We are currently looking for a Senior Pipeline Engineer will provide safe, practical, and economic designs of pipeline installations associated with linear infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
• Assessing constructability on linear infrastructure projects
• Pipeline installations
• Detailed design of transmission pipelines in coordination with the geospatial information
• Pre-FEED and FEED studies associated with major pipeline/power cable infrastructure projects in the UK,
• Authoring, checking and approving of technical design reports,
• Liaising with other departments and project teams within the company with respect to design requirements,
• Accurate recording of time spent on projects and management of team workloads,
• Mentoring staff members with professional development,
• Support the bid teams
Qualifications:
• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• Chartered with a professional institution regulated by the Engineering Council (or working towards Chartership)
• Experience undertaking Pre-FEED, FEED & detailed design associated with major linear infrastructure projects in the UK. This includes steel transmission pipelines and plastic ducts for subsequent power cable installation,
• Knowledge of UK planning application process under a Development Consent Order
• Knowledge and understanding of construction plant & equipment used to install steel pipelines and plastic cable ducts,
• Software experience: ArcGIS or QGIS
• Technical report writing skills,
