A long term, inside IR35, opportunity exists for a Senior Piping Engineer, as part of the site based design support team.
Duties include -
- Pragmatic approach to the Piping Engineering discipline, standardisation of design, consistency and quality in deliverables and support to Suppliers of the plant and equipment.
- Take a lead role across Engineering Function activities in the delivery of site based activities including, but not limited to, interface management, Piped Systems installation support, Support to Construction and Commissioning
Requirements for this position -
- Degree qualified or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge & understanding in site based Construction support.
- Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in delivering Piping design and Construction support in a similar role/environment, with recent relevant exposure to work in the nuclear industry.
- Managing and controlling the work of small team (2-3 people) under the direction of the Site based Engineering Manager.
- Awareness of current standards, regulations, legislation and technical developments, specifically for Piping Systems to ASME B31.3.
- Support to Pressure testing and production of documentation.
- An understanding of Construction Work Packages
- Support and coordination of site raised TQ’s and PP’s
- Ability to provide technical input and produce technical deliverables.
- Competent with CDM Regulations
