Our client a civil engineering contractor is one of four construction companies to join Anglian Water as it forms a new Strategic Pipeline Alliance, delivering projects throughout East Anglia.
They have an opportunity for a person with a background in planning in civil engineering. You must have come from an Engineering background to be considered for this role.
The work will involve:
- Supporting the Planning Manager
- The role will require the development of the detailed design, procurement and construction programme for the delivery of the civil engineering aspects of the projects including Bridge, RC, Marine & Road.
The Person - Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Experience and an understanding of civil engineering construction methods, outputs and resources for such as drainage, utility works & pipelines
- A track record of planning civil engineering projects
- Proficiency in the use of the Primavera P6 planning software application
- Ability to prioritise in order to manage workload effectively
- Experience of working to deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to express themselves openly, honestly and in a lucid way
- To be flexible, adaptable and open to new challenges
- Familiarity with the NEC suite of contracts
