A long-term opportunity exists for a Senior Planner experienced in the creation of master programs from first principles on major highways/A-roads projects for tier one/principal contractors. Expert capability in the use of P6 software is essential.
Duties will include –
- Develop and maintain the master program with the Designers and delivery team
- Managing project planning, programming, progress monitoring, progress reporting and scheduling
- Manage Junior Planners and Planning Assistants whilst reporting to the Planning Manager
- Lead collaborative meeting to ensure that the project strategy is understood
- Compile and present reports and convey them in a simple format to be easily understood
- Manage the changes and impact they create including early warnings through the delivery phase
- Manage and drive the critical path
Requirements include –
- Civil Engineering qualification is preferred
- Ability to create a master program from drawings using first principles
- Extensive experience planning on major projects for a tier one contractor on highways projects
- Completed major highways projects from beginning to end
- Expert user of P6
- Ability to collaborate with numerous stakeholders
