Position Overview:
We are looking for Senior Project Engineers specialising in pavement, roading, and earthworks to lead and contribute to the successful planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects in New Zealand. The Senior Project Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring project quality, efficiency, safety, and compliance with budgets and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion, overseeing project teams, budgets, and schedules.
- Technical Expertise: Apply deep knowledge and expertise in pavement design, road construction techniques, and earthworks engineering to provide technical guidance and solutions.
- Quality Control: Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure projects meet and exceed industry standards and client expectations.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop junior engineers and project staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance on project sites, ensuring a culture of safety and adherence to environmental standards.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing client expectations, addressing concerns, and providing regular project updates.
- Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project engineering, with a focus on pavement, roading, and earthworks.
- In-depth knowledge of New Zealand's transportation and infrastructure regulations and standards.
