Our client a £60m turnover civil engineering subcontractor are searching for a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in order to develop their Western division covering the Hampshire area.

This business has been operating for over 60 years and cover Rail, Build and Civils/Infrastructure.

You will be joining the Civils team which covers section 278/38 works, groundworks and roads construction on schemes up to £10m.

This is a key position to the company and has a strong line of progression for the right person, you’ll be tasked with developing the Western region of the UK (Hampshire, Berkshire and Southern Oxfordshire) and developing your own team around you in order to cater for the new workload.

This Senior Project Manager position will in time see you work your way up to divisional manager so will suit an ambitious civil engineering professional who would one day like to run their own department and team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage production of RAMS for H&S plan
  • Managing efficient mobilisation of resources to site
  • Attending pre-start and site agent briefing meetings
  • Assisting estimating department with method statements, programming and construction methods
  • Providing assistance to Quantity Surveyor as required
  • Manage pre-commencement surveys and issue to client
  • Enforce stringent company health and safety policies
  • Read and understand the contract drawings and specifications
  • Overseeing site security

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Able to understand materials, subcontract, plant and labour costs and breakdown
  • Knowledge of ICE, JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • SMSTS
  • HNC or equivalent in civil engineering related course
  • CSCS black
  • Stable career history
  • Strong experience of working on civil engineering projects
