We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our client’s team in Wellington. In this role, you will oversee project management, client engagement, and team leadership, ensuring successful project delivery and high client satisfaction. You will also play a key role in guiding and developing teams, providing clear direction and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members, encouraging professional growth and development.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and objectives.
- Prepare and present technical papers at industry events, showcasing the team's expertise.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety obligations and company policies.
- Develop and implement project management plans that align with client requirements.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks to achieve successful outcomes.
- Contribute to business development, including client meetings, preparing proposals, and tenders.
About You:
- 10 to 15 years of relevant industry experience with a proven record of managing infrastructure projects valued at $40 million or more.
- Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in the industry.
- Experience in roles such as design management, team management, or team leadership, particularly in infrastructure projects.
- Experience in water, road, or rail projects is advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing project financials and performance.
