An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor skilled in Change Control to join a main contractor on a major Station Upgrade Project in Surrey.
The ideal candidate will have had significant experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major Civil / M&E works projects in the UK. Previous airports experience highly advantageous.
This will be a challenging career development role that will significantly help further your career in Quantity Surveying with one of the top main contractors in the UK
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting to the Project / Commercial Manager
- Identify, value and manage change and maintain change register
- Provide maintenance of the cost reporting system and manage financial status of projects
- Coordination with supply chain and business units to produce accurate cost reporting
- Produce accurate forecasting and commercial reporting to internal teams and client
- Understanding of project risk, basic plant, equipment and labour costs to manage financial status of projects
- Working knowledge of standard forms of contract
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying / Engineering (or minimum HNC equivalent qualification)
- Experience working on compensation events with a main contractor/client
- Excellent written and verbal communication
