Our client is a building and civil engineering contractor, operation across highways, heavy civils, water and marine sectors. They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with civil engineering experience on a £85m water and pipeline project in Cumbria. The contract involves the design, construction and commissioning of about 32km of large diameter twin water mains and 24km of large diameter water mains in the West Cumbria region.
The ideal candidate will have experience with closing down the contracts.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:
- Contractual administration of high value project subcontractors;
- Sub-contract management, procurement and negotiation;
- Commercial resolution with Clients of scheme outcomes, including payments;
- Closing down the contract;
- Client and Supply Chain Framework liaison;
Requirements:
- Degree in quantity surveying or equivalent
- Previous experience working on water and pipe lying civil engineering projects
- Good NEC3 knowledge
