Our client is a building and civil engineering contractor, operation across highways, heavy civils, water and marine sectors. They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with civil engineering experience on a multi million ponds highways project in North Yorkshire. This will include widening three of the four slip roads onto and off the roundabout to increase capacity. The other major upgrade will be the installation of traffic signals on the roundabout to improve the flow of traffic.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:
- Contractual administration of high value project subcontractors;
- Sub-contract management, procurement and negotiation;
- Commercial resolution with Clients of scheme outcomes, including payments;
- Managing projects from award through to final accounts;
- Client and Supply Chain Framework liaison;
Requirements:
- Degree in quantity surveying or equivalent
- Previous experience working on highways civil engineering projects
- Good NEC3 knowledge
