CarmichaelUK are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to come on board with one of our clients who work as a principal contractor to Network Rail and are coming up to a busy period both tendering and delivering projects. Based out of a head office in Slough, our client carries out minor works on behalf of Network Rail all across the South East of England. We are ideally looking for someone who can start ASAP, however we understand people may have notices which need working.
As a member of the senior leadership team within the rail division, your responsibilities will include:
- Cost reporting
- Change management
- Claims
- Ensuring Project Managers are using best value techniques and materials
- Suggesting areas for increased value and savings
- Supporting the development and streamlining of commercial processes
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a degree in Quantity Surveying
- Holds a valid CSCS card (not essential)
- Has demonstrable experience for driving value within the engineering/construction process
- Is comfortable working with and against Project Managers to ensure best value is met
- Can commute to Slough on a flexible basis
