A minimum 6-month opportunity exists for a stand-alone, client facing, dynamic Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven ability to hit the ground running, on a £80m civils projects for a tier one principal contractor. Experience in the collaborative management of client and self-delivery staff is essential to the success of this project. Expert knowledge NEC 4 option target cost is preferred.
Duties will include -
- Reporting to the Commercial Manager producing daily look-ahead and early warnings.
- Management of all commercials and contract documentation
- Cost control
- Evaluating and procurement of subsontractors
- Working collaboratively with the client
- Plant and material cost control
- Re-measures, variation orders and extension of time claims
- Daily commercial management
- Compilation and submission of monthly invoices and certification
- Final accounts
Requirements for this post include –
- A Quantity Surveying qualification
- Extensive experience on medium to large civils project for a principal contractor
- Expert knowledge of NEC 4 option C
- RICS member would be advantageous.
- Excellent collaborative negotiation skills
- Commercially astute, committed and accountable
- 2-3 days’ work from home
